Screen versions of Pushkin's works - domestic and foreign films

History does not tolerate the subjunctive mood. Therefore, we do not know how much more Alexander Sergeyevich would have had time to write if that fateful duel with Dantes had not happened. But even that volume, which he managed to put on paper, is impressive. For a short life Pushkin managed to work in different literary genres - poems, poems, stories, novels, plays. What Russian literature owes to the great literary man, we analyzed in this article. And today, on the day of memory of the great poet, writer and playwright we recall the domestic and foreign filmography of his works.

Pre-revolutionary films based on Pushkin's works

Before 1917, several black-and-white films based on the works of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin were made. And even the very first movie about the poet's life, we wrote in detail in this article. All the early movies were silent and not all have survived to this day.
