Games are firmly part of our lives. Employees of large companies are stimulated by gamification, even adults are fond of computer and mobile games, and educational materials for children are increasingly presented in the form of games. A game fascinates, educates, develops attention, coordination and memory. So why not use it for educational purposes?
- Is the child learning a difficult topic? Have a quiz for the whole family! Have everyone pick or make up riddles on the topic and ask the others. Award points for correct answers and give the winner a prize.
- Passing a Russian classic? Don't make them write a dull essay - act out a skit with the characters of the work. Let the child choose a character, make up a costume and act it out. It can be an episode of a novel or a fantasy on the theme of a book.
- Is your child bored doing math exercises? Turn "homework" into a game! Let the pupil do his homework for time. If he or she is on time and doesn't make any mistakes, give a prize.
- Use educational games - regular and computer games. There are a lot of such games - choose to your liking!
- Introduce elements of play into everyday activities: Play Cities on the way to school, reward your child's successes with points and prizes, turn household chores (like vacuuming the floor or making the bed) into interesting treasure hunts.
Children learn through play. The effectiveness of play is unmatched by any other educational technique. Don't be lazy - think of more games and play elements for children and you won't have to force them to learn!
