5 rules on how to raise a leader

A leader is self-confident, proactive, achieves success. His bright charisma and energy cause envy and admiration of others. Many people become leaders in spite of their upbringing and environment, but child psychologists believe that leadership qualities can be fostered in the family.

In front of you - 5 simple rules that will help make your child a real leader.

- Rule #1. The child solves his/her own problems
Leaders are self-sufficient: they not only lead, but also finish things started by others. It is important that your child takes responsibility for his problems on himself, rather than going to mom and dad. Of course, you can help him if the problem is difficult, but in the end he must solve it himself.

- Rule #2. Be honest
Your children are a reflection of you. Leaders are honest and open with others and themselves. Become that way with your child. Don't hide anything and tell your child the truth, and they will get used to honesty.

- Rule #3. Say "no."
You must not indulge your child in everything. So you spoil him: he will get used to getting everything from his parents and will not want to achieve goals on his own. Refusal will upset the child, but it will develop in him patience and persistence in achieving goals.

- Rule #4. Do not praise your child too often
Children need to be praised: it is important for them to feel valued and respected. In the future, this will influence self-esteem and self-confidence - important leadership qualities. But it is not necessary to over-praise a child. Say "well done" every time he sits down for lessons or goes to bed on time, it is not worth it. Praise only for real achievements and good deeds.

- Rule #5. Allow your child to take risks
Business is a risky business. Leaders understand this and are willing to take risks. They know what failure is. Parents often protect their children from possible failures and their possible consequences. But it is failures and difficulties that cultivate a true leader in a person.
