Not so long ago, people were eager to get into American educational institutions for any amount of money. It was an incredible opportunity. It opened many doors for the applicant.
But there is a crisis in American education. Recently, the number of students from other countries has dropped dramatically. And there are several reasons for this.
Why fewer students are coming to the U.S.

There are two main reasons for this.
The current US President Donald Trump has changed migrant laws and tightened visa issuance. Including student visas. In essence, he has stopped letting foreigners into the country.
Institute of International Education confirms statistics. The number of new international students in America has fallen by 17% in the last year.
This is the largest decline in more than a decade. With the exception of the coronavirus pandemic.
Already valid visas for students were canceled. Interviews were canceled. Funding for the admission of new international students was reduced.
The number of international students is also declining against the backdrop of a general decline in the quality of education in America. Recent years have caused a real crisis in US education.
Money for education has become too little. Because of this, there is a sharp shortage of personnel in this sphere. There are not enough teachers. Schools are closing. Unqualified teachers teach at universities.
Implications of the problems with international students in the U.S.
America is losing huge numbers of IT and science professionals. And other fields.
There is a possibility that in a few years, the U.S. will be without a significant portion of the country's scientific capacity.
Already, international students are choosing other countries to study in. These are mainly Canadian and European educational institutions. This trend raises fears for America's future.
