Poems about New Year and Christmas by ages

Hi! Just a reminder that our school-wide New Year's Eve contest kicked off on December 01, and one of the categories to enter is Frosty Poem.

To make it easier for parents to choose a poem to learn, we have decided to make a selection of suitable poems, broken down by difficulty. Choose, learn together with your child and take part in our New Year's Eve fun.

Ages 4-6

It's snowing quietly,

Hello, New Year's Eve,

Christmas tree, shine,

Get the party started!

Eh! Uhh! Uhh! Ah!

Grandpa's coming to us on his sleigh.

He's bringing gifts for everyone,

With it comes the New Year.

Santa Claus is so nice,

It's okay to be old.

He brings gifts to everyone,

Both big and small!

A beautiful Christmas tree
The little ones love it so much,
The lights on it are on,
Beads, balloons hanging!

Good Santa Claus
He brought us presents,
He's taking us on a merry-go-round
And he's handing out candy!

Ages 7-9

One, two, three, four, five,
Let's all dance.
After all, it's New Year's Eve,
Santa Claus is coming!

Light up, Christmas tree, light up,
Let the lanterns shine.
Let the magic happen,
The wizard himself will come to us!

On the wonderful holiday of Christmas
I wish you well,
More magic in life,
Good luck, happiness and warmth!

May your angel watch over you
From all diseases and hardships,
May God protect you
From grief and worries!

On the bright holiday of Christmas
I wish everyone well,
Happiness, good health,
To live in the soul with great love,

I want my family to be there for me,
Warmth surrounds you,
Peace, light, magic,
Have a fabulous life!

Ages 10-17

Quiet on Christmas night
Magic is coming into the world:
The fairy tale goes door to door,
peeking into our dreams.

Christmas brings
Joy and peace in my heart.
And the hope that shines
A Christmas star for us.

On this holiday I wish
Happiness to all, love, kindness.
Bring us peace and joy
May the birth of Christ.

Afanasy Fet

The cat sings with his eyes squinting;
The boy is dozing on the rug.
There's a storm playing in the yard,
The wind is whistling outside.

"You don't have to lie here anymore," he said.
Hide your toys and get up!
Come say goodbye to me,
Go to sleep."

The boy stood up, and the cat with his eyes
Wired and everything sings;
The snow is falling in shreds through the windows,
The storm is whistling at the gate.

Nikolai Nekrasov "SNEZHOOK"

The snow flutters and swirls,
It's white outside.
And the puddles have turned
Into the cold glass.

Where the finches sang in the summer,
Today, look at this! -
Like pink apples,
There are bullfinches on the branches.

The snow is riddled with skis,
Like chalk, creaky and dry,
And the ginger cat catches
Merry white flies.
