Kids don't really like learning. Boring classes, tedious rote learning. It's not just uninteresting. It causes a lifelong rejection of learning.

Children like to play and have fun more. Why not start learning through games in Russian?

This approach will keep children engaged and learning new things in a way that is interesting to them.

There are many types of game activities in different subjects. Including game methods of teaching Russian language. And today we are going to talk about them.

Didactic games for children

Didactic games come to the aid of even the most uncooperative children. And they allow you to achieve high results.

But you can engage with your child through didactic games on your own.

1. Imagination game

Give the child a set of words and ask him/her to compose a text in Russian based on them. You can set a time limit. The more unrelated words, the more interesting.

Let it be a super-fantastic story that will make you laugh as a family. Let the child show imagination and fantasy. There are no limits!

2. Cafe

This is a role-playing game in Russian. Let the child act as a waiter or a hospitable host of the house. His task is to sound out the menu, take the order and bring it. If you have a game kitchen - great. If not, it is enough just to play out the serving of dishes.

3. news

Have the child compose a report with invented news in Russian. The funnier the better.

You can act out an entire skit. Let the child put on a costume, sit on a chair and read the news in a newscaster's voice. And if he can still not laugh in the process, he can be given to the theater school.

4. Proverbs

Collect Russian proverbs and read them to a child, but without some of the words. Invite the child to put in the missing words. It is not necessary that he/she knows these proverbs before. Let him improvise!

5. Translator

Say outdated Russian words to your child and ask him or her to guess what it means now. For example, «oko» or «chelo».

Let him suggest the most unbelievable options. And then say the correct answers together and discuss them.

6. Third extra

A children's game like «edible - inedible». This game can be adapted to any language level.

For beginners and young children, you can take 3 of the simplest words and ask them to find the extra one. For example, lemon, sun and candy. Here one word clearly means an object that is not edible.

For those who already know the words well, you can make the level more difficult. For example, suggest removing extra words based on the part of speech.

At an advanced level, you can eliminate unnecessary words according to different rules of the Russian language or other criteria.

7. Editor

Offer your child a text with errors. These can be grammatical errors in words or punctuation errors. And for beginners, you can put completely inappropriate words in the text.

The child's task is to correct all mistakes. It is desirable that he should also explain why it is necessary to write in this way. This is also an excellent game method of learning.

8. Anagrams

An interesting task for children - anagrams. You can find them on the Internet or make them yourself. Offer children sets of letters that turn into words when rearranged.

Another similar variation can be suggested. Give your child a set of letters and have them make all possible words from them.

You can learn Russian language not only at lessons. In ordinary life, you can always find activities that will help improve your child's Russian language skills.

You can cook together, read together, watch movies together, and discuss the day gone by. Just do it together and in Russian.

Remember that only you can instill in your child maximum interest in learning Russian. You should not leave your child alone with learning. Develop and learn through play together.

Just try these didactic games. And you will always know how to get your child interested in Russian language.
