What is the optimal number of words to memorize per day
Surely you have seen advertisements for various courses about "100500 words a day" and "Teach a language in a week"? Practice shows that these methods are just a marketing ploy aimed at human curiosity. Unfortunately, it is impossible to apply these methods to the average person in real life. Our brain is not a computer. And if we want to teach a child, he must also be interested. Preferably with the help of games and pictures. Imagine how much you need to play a day to memorize dozens of new words!
Psychologists have long ago calculated that optimally the brain can capture and deposit 5 to 10 new words into long-term memory. And this is really enough. Provided that language lessons are short but regular.
Besides, the active vocabulary that a Russian speaker uses in everyday life is only 2-3 thousand words. And now let's do the math - if a child memorizes only 5 words every day, then in a year he or she will master a vocabulary at the level of an average native speaker. That's great, isn't it?
New Words Trainer as a supplement to lessons
As a supplement to Russian language lessons, our methodologists have developed a separate lesson - a simulator. This is a lesson that aims to enable children to learn new words on a topic every day in an interactive way. For example, fruit, clothes, household items, verbs of movement and so on.
How does it work? The simulator sessions take place daily 2 times a day and last 45 minutes. This period includes 3 sessions of 15 minutes, during which the teacher gives 5 (sometimes 6-7) words each. The first 15 minutes are words for the beginner level, then words for the intermediate level, and the final 15 minutes for the advanced level. The child can join in at any time.
A new topic is taken each day. So you can study every day or choose your own days when it is convenient.
