Hi! Today we are telling you about Russian language lessons at Palme School. Our school has classes for teenagers 12-17 years old, as well as children's classes from 4 years old.
Methodists with experience in RCT (Russian as a foreign language) prepare programs for each course, taking into account the levels of knowledge and age of children.
Teachers - always native speakers - with experience in teaching RCTs teach classes in groups of up to 6 people.
Any lesson is reinforced with an assignment.
All progress is reflected in my personal cabinet
And all technical issues are handled by your supervisor.
We work on each student's progress, even in a group setting.
We made the program CYCLICAL:
- Each module contains N lessons.
- Once a student has mastered the entire module, they move on to the next level.
- You can come or return at any time of the year because the module classes go round and round.
We make programs using the newest and most working methods. What are they?
Communicative + lexical approaches. We do not teach children individual words, but whole lexical units. They learn to speak in phrases, word combinations, phraseologies and sentences. We mix several approaches so that children learn to interact with others in Russian.
Elements of immersive learning. We prepare a whole adventure for each module. The child is immersed in the story, and the vocabulary and relaxation of the class are unnoticeable.
A method of total language immersion. We speak to students only in Russian. Exception - A0 level at the first lessons. But we use presentations with visual images and monitor the perception of each student.
Case method and mini-projects. We immerse ourselves in situations and discuss what we can use, how we will use certain items. We prepare small projects on lesson topics.
We develop additional skills. How?
Each lesson has five minutes of neurogymnastics for younger children and helpful videos for older children.
We also work on articulation, memory and logic.
We introduce lesson topics according to age, interest and language level.
- Children ages 4 to 6 talk about stories and the names of everyday objects.
- Children ages 7 to 9 talk about adventure and travel.
- Kids ages 10 to 14 talk about history, new hobbies, and friends.
- Children from 15 to 17 years old talk about the world around them, plans for the future, and their interests.
