There are always plenty of "well-wishers" who really want to "clip our wings". They often repeat that there are plenty of specialists abroad and who needs us there with Russian diplomas.
But this is not entirely true. You can get a decent job if you know the language well and have the right connections.
Here's the path to a good position and a figure with 5 zeros in your annual salary:
- Learn the language. You can do this on a course. The more actively you learn and try to communicate only in English everywhere, the faster you will become fluent in English
- Write a resume. In English, of course. Examples of CVs can be found on the Internet
- Confirm the authenticity of your diploma. This is called nostrification
- Make useful acquaintances - networking. Immigrants say that they often get good positions when they invite company managers for coffee. And sometimes it is better to come to the company with your CV at once, rather than sending it by post
- Get a job that is as close to your desired position as possible. For example, if you want to become a school principal, get a job as a teacher or, better yet, as an assistant principal (head teacher)
- Be proactive and take initiative. Take on more responsibility, receive periodic training
The higher the qualification and solid experience, the more money you will get and become more in demand as a specialist. But this is only possible if you speak English completely fluently.
