Palme School is an educational project for children and teenagers. Our students are from 4 to 17 years old.
We have programs in Russian language, mathematics, chess, geography and other subjects.
We pay special attention to Russian language programs for children. We talked about the uniqueness of these programs here и here.
But the most important component of our programs is immersion in Russian culture.
Our goal is to teach children to speak Russian as their native language.
To do this, we use communicative and lexical approaches. We teach children not individual words, but whole lexical units. They learn to speak in phrases, word combinations, phraseologisms and sentences.
During the lessons, children listen to fairy tales, study everyday life, and learn about important historical figures and fairy tale characters.
Our students talk about hobbies with Ilya Muromets, take Pushkin to the Mall, listen to stories of Munchausen and discuss family with Masha and the Bears.
We discuss whether bears really walk around Russian cities and play balalaikas.

As a result, our students do not just memorize words and constructions, they learn to express their thoughts clearly in Russian, they can read poems of famous Russian poets in the original, write a New Year's greeting to their grandmother or even use Russian as a secret language of parent and child.
